What Is Facebook Account Quality? Meaning, Where to Find It and How It Affects Monetization
Account Quality is Meta's list of violations, warnings and restrictions on your Page. Here's what it shows, where to find it, and how it touches monetization.
In this article
Facebook Account Quality is the Meta status screen that lists a Page's or account's policy violations, warnings and restrictions. It is separate from monetization status, but what it lists can affect whether a Page stays eligible for Facebook content monetization.
Key points
- It's a record of what Meta flagged, not a score out of 100.
- It covers warnings, restricted features, and content that was removed or limited in distribution.
- It doesn't show earnings, views, or the full reason behind a payout decision.
- Eligibility is shown in the monetization tools, not on this screen.
- If you post daily, check it weekly and after any notification.
Facebook Account Quality: the short definition
Account Quality is Meta's running record of whether your Facebook Page or account has broken its rules. "Meta account quality" and "business Facebook account quality" point to the same thing, surfaced through Meta Business Support Home.
The rules behind it are Meta's Community Standards and, for monetized Pages, the Partner Monetization Policies. Menu names and layout change, so treat any screenshot as a snapshot.
What the Account Quality screen shows (and what it doesn't)
The screen shows what Meta has acted on and nothing about how your content performs.
What you will see
| Status | What it means | Likely effect on monetization |
|---|---|---|
| No issues | Nothing flagged right now | No effect from this screen, but not proof you're eligible |
| Warning | Meta flagged something, no feature limited yet | Fix the cause; repeats can lead to restrictions |
| Restricted | A feature is limited (posting, going live, monetization) | Can make the Page ineligible or limit monetization features |
| Removed or limited content | A post was taken down or shown to fewer people | May count against you; repeated removals add up |
Meta doesn't publish exact thresholds for moving between these states. Anyone quoting a magic number is guessing.
What is not on this screen
Earnings, views, reach, RPM and the exact reason a payout is held aren't here. Payments and eligibility live in the monetization tools in Professional Dashboard.
Where to find Account Quality on desktop and mobile
Look for "Account Quality" or "Support Inbox" in Meta's tools, and expect the names to shift. Meta's Business Help Center has the current steps.
On desktop
Open Meta Business Support Home at business.facebook.com, pick the Page or business asset, then open Account Quality. You can also try the Page's settings and look for Account Quality or Support Inbox.
On mobile
In the Facebook app, switch to your Page, open its settings or Professional Dashboard, and look for Account Quality or Support Inbox. The Meta Business Suite app can show the same alerts.
Account Quality vs monetization status
They answer different questions. Account Quality asks whether Meta flagged rule-breaking. Monetization status asks whether the Page is eligible, approved and earning.
So a clean Account Quality screen doesn't mean you're monetized. And a monetization problem isn't always explained here. Check both.
How violations and restrictions can affect monetization
An active violation or restricted status can make a Page ineligible or limit monetization features, and Meta makes that call, not you. Eligibility itself is shown in the monetization tools.
"Under review" usually means Meta is checking content or an earlier decision. There's no fixed timeline, so don't plan income around it.
Where a decision allows it, you'll see a request-review or disagree option. Use it once, with a clear reason. We've watched Pages lose weeks of momentum after reposting unoriginal clips, then reposting more while a warning was open.
How to improve Facebook page quality
Pages with "bad quality" almost always have a pattern behind it, usually repeated reposted, reused or borderline content.
Open each listed item and read what it cites. Remove or stop posting similar content, and make Facebook Reels that add something of your own: a real story, your own voiceover, your own edit. WowReveal's story voiceover and captions can speed that up, but you're still responsible for having the rights to your footage.
For a weekly routine, spend 5 minutes per Page:
- Open Account Quality and note any change.
- Check monetization status separately.
- Log the date and result in a shared sheet if you run several Pages.
Also check right after any notification.
